COVID-19 Update 3

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to change the situation we find ourselves in, as both individuals and as a practice. Late on Thursday, 26 March 2020, the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee (AHPPC) in conjunction with the Australian Dental Association (ADA) has made the recommendation that Australian dentists move to Level 3 Restrictions on dental treatment.

The health and safety of our patients, their families and our staff has always been, and continues to be, a priority for us. As more is learnt about COVID-19, and as the situation in Australia changes, we are obligated to support the actions of the Australian and Queensland Governments to limit the spread of this disease.

Effective immediately, we will be suspending routine dental treatment and move to supporting acute and emergency dental treatment only. We will be using our clinical judgement to assess existing treatment plans, and making modifications to stabilise our patient’s oral health, with the view to continuing routine care when the COVID-19 crisis has passed.

If you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us, or call on (07) 3470 1313.

Important Update: Clinic Closed on March 6 & 7

We will be closed on Thursday, 6th March and Friday, 7th March due the impending effects of TC Alfred. We are continuing to monitor Government advice, and will update affected patient appointments accordingly for any necessary rescheduling into the early part of next week depending on TC Alfred’s outcome.

Like all businesses, our priority is the safety of both our staff and patients during what seems to be shaping up to be very challenging few days.
