Changes to the Environment

The evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic continues, and advice provided can change rapidly. With the easing of restrictions, advice provided to the Queensland public is significantly different to last year. All of us are now required to learn to live with COVID-19. This changes how we are going to look after you for your next dental appointment.

Pre-appointment screening

Along with your dental appointment SMS reminder, there will be a link to our COVID-19 Screening Questionnaire. This is an important step in providing safe dental care to our patients and you will be required to complete it before we can see you. The Dental Board has made it very clear that we cannot discriminate patients on vaccination status, so this tool assists us in ensuring we are able to care for you safely.

At your appointment

You are required to wear your mask at all times, when not receiving treatment. We are limiting the number of people in each part of the practice, and you may be asked to wait outside. Since the start of the pandemic, all high touch items have been removed from reception. Please bring something to read or keep little minds active.

Additional Cleaning

We have always been proud of our infection control, but we have stepped it up a notch. Queensland Health and the ADA have asked the where possible we leave 30 minutes between aerosol generating procedures. We are now routinely using two rooms to reduce the risk of infection for airborne particles. This sometimes means we will need to pop into the other room as it is not practical to fully stock both surgeries. We know you appreciate the efforts we are taking to keep you safe.
